Today I joined a live webinar called "Growing your business in today's turbulent world," with speakers who’ve been in the trenches building companies through uncertainty.
The timing couldn't have been better.
As a founder working on Food22, a bootstrapped startup aiming to personalize food experiences through AI, I’m constantly thinking about how to stay lean, strategic, and focused, especially when the macro environment feels shaky.
Here are a few thoughts that stayed with me after the session:
🔹 Momentum matters more than perfection
Start small, move fast, test constantly. In tough times, speed and iteration win over flawless strategy.
🔹 Resilience is a mindset, not a metric
Growth isn’t always exponential. Sometimes it’s about surviving long enough to find the next inflection point.
🔹 Clarity beats complexity
If you can't clearly articulate what problem you solve and why now, it’s easy to get lost in noise.
What I appreciated most was that the session wasn’t about hype or theory. It was a grounded, honest conversation and that’s exactly what most early-stage founders need.
I’ll definitely carry some of these takeaways into how we keep shaping Food22.
💬 Building something today isn’t about following a perfect plan, it’s about holding on, adjusting, and moving forward.
If that sounds familiar, I share real ideas from someone living it every week in my newsletter.
